BIOGRAPHY
DJ D.HO has spun turntables since before he could spin a steering wheel. What started as a childhood hobby turned into the daily study of one of the foundations of hip-hop: scratching & mixing. Records were expensive for a kid, so he focused on and perfected his turntablism skills. With the advent of Serato a few years later, D.HO's entire library of MP3's became his party-rocking arsenal. It was easy for D.HO to apply his old school skills to new school technology. Immediately after he turned 18, D.HO was noticed and signed to an LA based club DH company. He quickly climbed the ranks of the industry and by now has toured all major Hollywood clubs, headlining in front of thousands every week.
D.HO's style can be described as open-format, party rocking, quick mixing, high energy, with a nod to the old-school with scratching and turntable tricks. He's opened up fro talent such as The Chainsmokers, Far East Movement, Ginuwine, & Omarion. Some of his most prestigious clients include The United States Army, US Bank, & The Irvine Company.
After conquering the LA club circuit, D.HO's next step in music was to give back and share his knowledge and experience. In 2015, he founded Academy of DJs. He teaches an 8 week course on how to succeed in today's industry and the skills needed to be a high end DJ. His graduates have gone on to DJ school events, popular bars, and major Hollywood clubs.
Although D.HO continues to be in high demand throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, he feels like this is just the beginning. His passion for sharing good vibes through his music is obvious, and he can’t see himself being restricted to So-Cal any longer.
David is the type of guy that has tried everything and anything that has even a remote interest in. He grew up fixing up and tuning cars, playing the piano & guitar, breakdancing, building computers, and playing basketball. He is also a medical engineer by day! David has never been the type to fit a certain mold, always interested in anything and everything that comes his way.
Some notable gigs that D.HO has performed: Opening for The Chainsmokers, Opening for DJ Mustard, Opening for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony as well as headlining Exchange LA.
D.HO's DJ style is heavily influenced by Hip-Hop. High energy flow, fast cuts, scratching, quick mixing and wordplay are his forté. From rocking a bar of 50 guests to a club of 2000, D.HO's style is universal.
