Jocelyn grew up in the Bay Area and takes a lot of pride in where she’s from. For the past two and a half years, she has lived in Southern California, first in San Diego and now in Orange County. Her sound is rooted in house with influences from tech house, Afro house, bass house, electro house, and trap. She also loves dance-pop, UK garage, country, hip-hop, and R&B. She’s into Jersey club energy and baile funk rhythms, aiming for a style rooted in groove and emotion, creating moments people will not forget.
As an emerging DJ, she wants to curate sets that bring people together and turn any space into a dance floor full of good vibes. Outside of music, Jocelyn loves checking out farmers markets, going to pop-up events, taking Lagree classes, coffee shop hunting, and having arts and crafts nights at home. She is also a proud cat mom of two and will always stop whatever she is doing if there is a cat around.

Ever since high school, Jocelyn has loved watching live sets and sharing music with friends, but she never thought DJing was something she would actually be able to do. She first applied to Academy of DJs in December 2021 but didn’t go through with it. Three years later, she realized how much this meant to her and finally found the courage to join. Jocelyn came in with no DJ experience but quickly got the hang of it, surprising herself with how much she could learn in such a short time.
For her, joining the Academy isn’t about becoming famous or chasing a certain lifestyle. It’s about stepping out of her comfort zone and taking on something she knew wouldn’t be easy. This season has been challenging, fun, and emotional, but in the best way. Throughout the program, she wanted to experience it all and try out different genres, growing both as a DJ and as a person. She feels grateful to share this journey with her Season 17 classmates and is excited to keep building on everything she’s learned. Jocelyn’s goal is to develop a new creative outlet and prove to herself that her passions can be turned into real skills, musical confidence, and a lifelong community built around a shared love of music.
